Hmmm… I fall into a couple of those categories too, among them bargain bin geek, book geek, comics geek and band geek. In fact, it seems kind of hard not to fall into at least one of those categories. What about a game geek, though? Or is that covered by the Nintendo and MMO geeks? Perhaps a more general “video game” type geek category needs to be added?
Or, to stick with the two-word naming convention, perhaps it should be called Console Geek… for the geek who must have a Wii, Playstation, Xbox, DS, PC, etc, so that s/he can play a game on the console best suited to it.
I also fall into a bunch of those. (And Sameer too.) I think the problem is in the definition of geek. I think geeks are the type of people who just naturally become obsessed with whatever strikes their fancy at a particular time. You may be a photography geek this year and next year your interest wanes and suddenly you’re crazy obsessed with bird watching.
Is there a “refused to be categorized” geek? (Note, this is different from a “refused to be categorized ‘geek’” geek (and after that statement, there’s no doubt that I myself qualify as a geek)) (<-the double parentheses further illustrate the point)
Also, is it just me who, at a glance, thought that “Lego geek” was “Lesbo geek”?
Sad to say, I probably fall into: Jedi, Indi, Potter, Comics, D&D, Film, Webcomics, Book, Anime and TV….
….but I’m also the kind of greek to have written a lengthy definition of the words ‘geek’, ‘dork’ and ‘nerd’, which probably makes me some kind of weird meta-geek.

I am not a geek, so therapy tells me anyway
Where is ‘Make Fun of Geeks’ Geek???

The definition of “geek” probably need to be expanded, but by and large and with few exceptions it seems to mostly encompass antisocial behaviors.
