It’s official. The BBC, Guardian, and Gallifrey One all confirm that David Tennant has announced, he will quit Doctor Who at the end of 2009, following the four specials planned for the year.
I think I need a hug.

He’s a brilliant Doctor…fits the role quite nicely. I’m gonna miss him!

Now begins all the speculation:
1. What are they going to do with that whole River Song thing?
2. What will the circumstances of the 10th Doctor’s demise be?
3. Will we get a Who-Movie?
4. Who will be the new Doctor?
5. Who will design the new Doctor’s outfit?
1. I need to watch that episode again, but I think she recognized the Doctor as such, just not the current incarnation. Will get back to you.

4. No idea…I prefer Tennant’s outfit to Eccleston’s, but then I liked Tom Baker’s outfit as well. Maybe some digging will pull this info up!
Alas, I have seen not one episode of the good Doctor Who (No DSTV or British TV during the 80’s)- although I have seen one or two of “Sarah Jane Adventures”.
I do know what “Sonic Screwdrivers” and Daleks are tho – Exterminate – …

My one consolation about this show is that – between all 10 (now 11) Doctors and all the books and radio shows on them – there is enough Dr Who to last me a lifetime. Thank God for small mercies.
I don’t know this Patterson oke but I hope he’s got skillz. And that he finds an interesting angle for the Doctor. And the outfit – anything but what he’s wearing in that picture, please!
It should be something practical and not too kooky thought. But characteristic.
