+1 to the Nandos ad! Totally brilliant!
yeah – it totally rocks!
i love how they are really not afraid to push the envelope … i wonder if it would have worked with anyone else but tannie evita, say Helen Ziller, for example?
@S – Nope – Evita is the only one who could pull that off. If they used Hellen Zille, Patricia De Lille, or some other opposition politician, it would come off as more of an anti ANC ad – With Evita it’s clearly a satirical piece.
The Audi ad is pure art. Did you see the one with the string where they made a car out of a giant cat’s cradle?
PS – nice new theme.
Who’s fault IS the new theme, anyhow?? There’s a new theme every few days which makes me wonder if I’ve come to the right site!
ok ok it was me that changed it… feckin tough to make everyone happy… what a new look, like the new look, can’t see authors, want to see authors… :’( i give up… wah wah
oh, glad to be an adopted SA, so that Nandos ad can make me really chuckle
Nonono….change it back…it was nice!
Very cool ads… the Nandos one is brilliant.
Re: the theme….I don’t care what you put up as long as it has pretty colours and I can see who wrote the post so I know who I’m responding to!
My 5 cents.
I liked the other theme but it was frustrating not knowing who was posting. I like to hear the voices in my head when I read a post.
I like the Nando’s ad – funny
The Audi ad is quite cool too – I like how they use the strength, precision, and beauty of the human form to infer the same in the car.
On themes – as long as I can see the author name, I’m happy with whatever the theme is. Otherwise I feel like I don’t know who I’m talking to. I like seeing different themes here.
Should we be concerned about the voices in Faranaaz’s head?
Funny that about needing to hear the voice of the person who posted. The joke is that, possibly due to many of us having a similar work (and therefore writing) background, our tone doesn’t come across as individual when we write. Or do you think otherwise?
true, there are a few times that I’m not sure… but that’s only 1% of the time… otherwise, I know who you are!!!
