I love these
I was happily working in Visio, and did the unthinkable … yes, I tried to … wait for it .. copy and paste a shape from one page to another.
Gasp! Shock! How could I! Should have known better!
Visio dies quickly; and then this error pops up:

Obviously, I need to click the link to MicroSoft Update, as so strongly encouraged by this message. So, yes, I click the link.
Guess what:

April fool!
Deep sigh.
@S – if you were in SA I’d say that someone stole a copper cable and so you couldn’t reach MS’s update server
I love Microsoft so much that I ditched them completely and now run Ubuntu on my machine at home. I tell you, I’ve never been happier! Mostly, you can find cheap (sometimes free) alternatives to Windows software if you’re working in Linux. There’s perhaps a three or four day learning curve (it’s easier if you tell yourself “Remember, this isn’t Windows, so don’t treat it as such and don’t expect it to work the way Windows does!”) and after that, you’re sailing clear.
So why DOES software behave so strangely around you, S?
must be all the stuff sharon spills on her computer… it’s ok Sharon, it’s what we a like about ya
