I read this interesting article on the Broadsheet section at Salon.com and got to thinking about literary dealbreakers. I mean, I thought that Da Vinci code one was harsh. I read the Da Vinci code, knowing that it was poorly written, but I had to get to the end to figure out how it ended! What if someone held that against me? It’s not like I went on and on and on reading more Dan Brown. But on the deal breaker, I remember this guy from when I was still at ‘varsity who was trying to find a way to ask me out but I nipped that in the bud. Reason? He was completely opposed to science fiction in any way or form. After he told me that he didn’t watch The Matrix because he never reads or watches any science fiction, I just couldn’t take him seriously.
So, literary dealbreakers anyone?
