Child health experts have critized Nintentos Wii Fit game cause they are branding children as “obese”. The best selling game calculates the body mass index (BMI) of each player and then tells them if they are underweight or obese. Dr Penny Gibson of the UK Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health said calling a child obese based on their BMI could lead to “emotional difficulties”. Nintendo admitted that the BMI calculations for children could be inaccurate.
