The Life Hackery site has a list of 99 unusual uses for ordinary things, and a list of 50 helpful hints for use in the kitchen. Mind you, the stuff you do is pretty ordinary, but it’s just using objects that you wouldn’t ordinarily use for these kinds of thing. For example, using toothpaste for bug bites and rashes, soothing burns, and removing smells from your hands. Or something as unusual as using a piece of celery to de-stalify bread. Quite remarkable stuff, really.
