I’ve been on a cooking and baking blitz recently, and in the past week, I’ve whipped up a batch of lovely waffles, custard cookies, and just last night my darling wife baked an amazing batch of cupcakes. Waffles aside, cakes and cookies take time (well, the cookies were 12 minutes a batch cooking time, but the dough was so crumbly that it took me a while to roll it to the right thickness for cutting)–so here’s a recipe I can appreciate! The Domestic Scientist has a recipe for chocolate cake that can be baked in the microwave in 5 minutes. In her own words, the recipe is
aimed at college students with no oven, pregnant ladies wanting a midnight snack, or anyone just trying to kill a chocolate craving
Good enough excuse for microwave chocolate cake, since my wife is pregnant!
