Seems now a days that reality shows are all over the place, and they are spawning a new form of celebrity faster than ever before. They are famous for being themselves… nothing else, just well known cause she was a tart on big brother or he was that bollocks from the Apprentice. And once they become famous, their career becomes a life in celeb mags showing that they have a pimple and perhaps showed a butt crack when when they bent over one day.
Now I like some reality shows … tend to veer away from the more “cheap” ones. But there are some which are educational and fascinating like Dragons Den and Apprentice – I do sometimes indulge in the xfactor types but just the auditions, the bad ones }:)
But all this leads me to a trend growing in the UK and Ireland… kids no longer want careers; they want stardom. I think that perhaps kids are no longer getting a realistic vision of working – they all want to become stars – but kids, it’s good to dream, but if EVERYONE in the UK is on TV no one will be on the other side watching it!!!
Here are the top five careers for children:
1. Famous footballer
3. Pop star
What do you think – are reality shows, and NOW and Hello magazines having a negative effect on the world?
