Morning all you bloggers… now I’m taking a risk but perhaps a reader out there is a scientist and can explain something about nostrils.
First thought was, why do we have two nostrils when they both lead to the same cavity? Would it not make it less likely to get a blocked nose with just one giant whole – I mean, how often does your mouth (not throat) get blocked?
Then I thought it maybe to do with smell receptors, two nostrils equals more surface area – but then should we have more wholes? But I think if dogs can smell much better than us we need more effienct receptors not more wholes.
Anyone else thought about nostrils?
