This is something I thought only ever happened in weird countries but here… in Ireland they have a beauty contest for cows!! 😥 Now you may wonder why I am so emotional about this, specially since animals are in dog shows etc… but there are a few key terms and reactions that make it sound dodgey and odd.
First it’s called a “Beauty contest”!
Secondly, all the radio coverage is very, eh, how to say sexual. Remove the word cow and you wonder if they are talking about something else :S Stating things like they have supple, well proportioned udders and a nice wig for the end of the tail finishes them off nicely :S
Beauty contest for cows in Cavan

Roll over Miss Ireland, it is time for Moos Ireland – a beauty contest for cows is taking place in Co Cavan today.
Up to 30 Friesian beauties will compete for the crown of the Baileys Champion Cow Competition in Virginia.
Organisers say the contest is ultimately about looks – with marks going for shapely legs, a good-shaped back and nice udders.
But they say a good personality and temperament is a must.
